You should spend most of your time in bed with exception of going to the bathroom. Anytime you’re on your feet make sure someone is with to be sure you keep your balance. All strenuous activities should be avoided for the next three weeks.
It’s very important that you do not sit directly on your buttocks immediately after a butt lift surgery. Try to lie on your side and stomach most of the time using a pillow to stabilize yourself. You will continue this position for approximately two weeks and will be instructed when it’s ok sit on your buttocks.
After your butt lift surgery an elastic compression garnet will be placed on your body. This is to remain on 24 hours a day for approximately 6 weeks. The garnet is for support which will help to hasten the disappearance of swelling and will help to obtain a smooth result. Since you will be wearing this garnet for several weeks you may want to purchase a couple to fit your wardrobe (Our staff will advise).
A moderate amount of discomfort is to be expected for the first 24 to 48 hours. If the pain is severe, our office should be notified. Take your pain medication as instructed, you’re encouraged to take some pain medication for the first few days after surgery.
